Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or joining us for the first time\, this is a great opportunity to give back\, meet like-minded community members\, and make a tangible impact. \nAfter the cleanup\, we’ll transition straight into a group paddle (weather permitting). It’s the perfect way to enjoy the ocean\, connect with fellow paddlers\, and celebrate the work we’ve done to keep our beaches clean. \nCome for the cause\, stay for the paddle—and start your day with purpose by the sea. \n\nAbout Our Cleanups \nTo help protect the places we love\, the Seacoast Paddleboard Club (SPC) adopted Pirate’s Cove Beach in Rye\, New Hampshire through Blue Ocean Society’s Adopt-a-Beach program back in 2017. \nSince then\, SPC has hosted a monthly community cleanup on the last Sunday of every month\, bringing together volunteers who are passionate about keeping our coastline clean. \nWe’ll meet at the entrance to Pirate’s Cove Beach for a quick introduction on marine debris and why collecting this data matters. From there\, we’ll spread out and get to work. Most cleanups run between 1 to 1.5 hours. \nIt’s a simple\, impactful way to give back\, get outside\, and connect with others who care about the ocean. Come be part of it. In addition to surfing\, we have boogie boards\, beach games\, and a DJ.  The events are held each June\, July\, and August in North Hampton\, NH at The Wall. \nWe love and rely on our volunteers\, and without them this program wouldn’t be possible. Depending on the conditions\, this paddle will range between a 3 to five-mile paddle. \nParking\nWe will be parking in the main lot at the Perice Island Boat Ramp area. \nSafety Equipment\nAll paddlers must wear proper safety equipment\, including a personal flotation device (PFD) and a leash. \nCheck the Weather Before Leaving Home\nAll SPC paddles are weather-dependent. Before leaving your house\, we encourage you to check the event page on our website or our Facebook page to make sure the event didn’t get canceled. \nDress for the Conditions\nWhether you prefer to wear a wetsuit or a dry suit\, please make sure you have the appropriate gear for cold water paddling and that you dress accordingly. \nPack A Post-Paddle Kit\nBring along extra warm clothes you can change into after your paddleboard session. It’s a good idea to keep a towel\, warm sweater\, pants\, and a jacket in your car\, so you’ve got something warm and dry when you get in from the water. Packing a thermos of something warm to eat or drink after your paddleboard session is also a good trick to help keep you warm and refueled after spending time on the water.
